PROS: A valuable life lesson on how to react to unethical, incompetent, and shameless bullying of employees. CONS: FMF are hypocritical bullies. It is a culture that stems from the "top". The Head of FMD is also the Head of HR - which means there is no HR at APAX. The Head of FMD can, therefore, act with impunity as she reports directly to the CEO. So there is no accountability for any incompetence, rudeness, lack of response to employee's emails, inappropriate responseswhen they do actually respond and a shocking lack of ethics and empathy amongst FMD staff which protected by the Head of FMD. FMD/"HR" only act in the best interests of APAX to earn money. They offer no support for employees. They are defensive, aggressive, incompetent and they bully employees who ask questions. None of them have Human Resources Management degrees and they are clearly out of their depth with no people management skills. They are rude, unprofessional, threatening and believe i n a culture of nepotism and intimidation. They believe they are above Vietnamese law and they provide no transparency. FMD send generic emails and demand no response to them. There is is no "safe space" for employees to express genuine frustrations without repercussion. They also shamelessly exploit their Vietnamese staff which is disgraceful. Education is not a priority at this company. The financial and mental well-being of employees is not a priority. An abuse of power and money is more important for the unqualified FMD staff. APAX deliberately withholds wages, so they can earn interest on the untimely paid employee wages, without any empathy or consideration of the hardship this pure greed incurs for their employees. They do not care if their employees cannot pay rent, buy food or medicine, or support their famlies. This is a gross violation of their "duty of care" for employees. Advice to young graduates: don't work here. But if you do, don't accept their "start-up bonus". It is merely a tool to entrap, exploit and manipulate young people on their first job in a foreign country away from their support networks. They will deduct a high percentage of it for tax. But if you leave early because you encounter all the negatives outlined above, then they will deduct the full amount (that you never received) from your last wages. If you wish to leave, they will also threaten you regarding your work permit that they arrange for you. ADVICE TO FMD: Go back to university and earn a Human Resource Management degree so that you can improve your communication and people skills. Abide by Vietnamese law. Develop empathy and compassion - don't bully and threaten your employees for asking questions. Their questions, are the reason you have a job at all. Respond to emails in a timely professional fashion to meet your KPI targets. From my experience, you should all have failed these. But nepotism is rife in FMD, so it is doubtful that FMD staff are held to the same standards as ALL other APAX staff. Pay employees on time and stop giving last minute notice of changes that were decided well in advance of the date the emails were finally sent out. Stop shutting down free speech. Employees have a right to express frustrations if FMD fails to address these problems. Stop spamming the APAX Community Group on Facebook with political rallying. The US is not representative of all APAX employees and this is inappropriate and unprofessional. Post this propaganda on your own private Facebook page instead.
